Thank you to all the parents, carers and children who visited our school today. It was lovely to meet you all. If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact our school office.
We have had such a fantastic day today! Here are a few images from our Children In Need non-uniform day!
What a fantastic evening! Our wonderful PTFA team had worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make 2021 a night to remember and they did not disappoint.
On arrival we were greeted by a glow-in-the-dark firefly on stilts! Next came an amazing array of stalls – and what a choice there was - Cadbury Hot Chocolate complete with cream and a flake, Popcorn, Hot Dogs, Burgers, Neon Swords, Hook-a -Duck and a Spinning Teacup ride that left everyone dizzy. Pocket money was spent, and tasty treats were bought and consumed.
Next came the fireworks and lighting of the bonfire. We began with a special display, accompanied by Madness 'It must be love' to pay a personal Peterbrook tribute in memory of an amazing man and avid supporter of our Peterbrook PTFA, Mr A Horton, who sadly passed away this year.
The main display began and there was much cheering as one firework followed another, and another. The sky was filled with colour and pattern while the air was filled with gasps of wonder and delight.
Thank you to our PTFA behind the scenes and on the night, to our staff who ran stalls and marshalled the grounds, to the office staff for manning the gate and providing 'banking' support, to our site manager for putting the grounds back together in time for school on Monday - you all did an incredible job. Finally, to our families and local community, thank you for coming along to support the event.
Our house captains have been busy selling poppies this morning on our playground. They will be selling poppies every morning before school on the playground, the last day to purchase a poppy with be Thursday 11th November.
