There are a lot of ideas below, however there is no expectation for your child to complete all of the
activities. Ideally we would suggest one of each of the short activities below each day, if you can. Please
select what interests them and what you find manageable.

This week we will be looking at phase 4 consonant blends at the end of words.

Writing
Write a list of the minibeasts you find outside.
Write a list of animals that came to visit the spider.
Write a list of words using the picture prompts (see above)
Hide some toys and write some simple instructions to help others find them.
e.g. under the cushion, behind the chair, on top of the box
Write a menu or recipe for a Mud Kitchen cafe

Creative Ideas
Try out some of the fine motor activities below, which support finger strength for writing.
Have fun outside
Make mud pies, petal soup or even create an outdoor cafe.
Measure out the ingredients, count out the petals. Write recipes and lists of ingredients.
Make pictures using leaves and petals.
Cut leaves in half and match them back together again.
Other Outdoor Ideas
Build a simple reading den. Activity game following instructions.
Cereals threaded on string for bird feeders.
