Peterbrook
Primary School
Please find below our latest news.
Statutory Consultation Period: 3 November to 15 December (six weeks)
This letter serves as formal notification that The Elliot Foundation Academies Trust, as the Admissions Authority for Peterbrook Primary School, is conducting a statutory consultation on the proposed Admissions Policy for the academic year 2027/2028.
The school joined the Elliot Foundation Academy Trust in the last academic year. To ensure legal compliance and standardisation across our Trust, we are therefore now required to formally consult on adopting their standardised Admissions Policy.
We seek to ensure that local stakeholders, including yourselves, have the opportunity to review and comment on all aspects of the policy.
For the full draft Admissions Policies (2027/2028) please follow the link:
https://elliotfoundation.co.uk/initiatives/admissions-consultation. The main difference in the TEFAT policy versus the previously adopted local authority policy is that TEFAT does not recognise a catchment area in its oversubscription criteria, rather it uses a simple measure of distance from the school site.
We welcome comments and feedback from all statutory consultees. All responses must be submitted in writing and must be received no later than 4:00pm on 15th December 2025.
Please submit all formal consultation responses via email to office@elliotfoundation.co.uk.
All responses will be carefully considered by the Trust Board before the policy is formally determined by 31 January 2026.
Thank you for participating in this statutory consultation process.
The whole school came together for a traditional Christmas pantomime earlier this week.
We thoroughly enjoyed 'Snow White' performed by a visiting theatre company.
We held our PTFA Christmas Bazaar on Friday the 6th of December. The event ad stalls, rides, raffle, refreshments and of course Father Christmas paid us a visit too.
Thank you to everyone for your support, we have raised over £1500 for school.
A special thanks to our wonderful PTFA for their hard work organising the event and to our brilliant staff who helped out at the Bazaar.
Dillon in Y5 sold raffle tickets to his family and neighbours to help raise as much money as possible, thank you Dillon!
Our families and local community supported our PTFA bonfire extravaganza at Peterbrook.
Hundreds of people enjoyed our bonfire, fireworks, stalls and fairground rides.
It was a superb event and raised an amazing amount of money for our school.
Our PTFA and staff are brilliant and we couldn't put on the event without their help.
Thank you to everyone for supporting this incredible event.
Earlier in November our House Captains delivered Harvest Hampers to members of our local community.
Thank you to our wonderful children, parents and carers for your food donations.
Our house captains were busy selling poppies each morning on our playground. They sold poppies before school on the playground from Tuesday 5th November to Monday 11th November. We observed two minutes’ silence on Monday 11th of November at 11am.
House Captains sold the poppies and poppy merchandise shown below (50p minimum donation for a poppy, prices vary for the poppy merchandise).
Our amazing PTFA provided 10 pumpkins for children to carve.
The pumpkins were displayed at our Halloween Disco.
They are amazing, well done!
Reception Dine-In Event
Thank you to our Parent Council for helping out at this popular event. The children really enjoyed sharing their lunchtime with parents and carers.
We asked those who attended what they enjoyed about the event…
“It was lovely to see my child's lunch time routine and how they play at lunch time. Especially after only a few weeks.“
“Having her become confident enough to show and tell me where everything is. And seeing her become independent.”
“It was nice to see who my child plays with and the friendships already made through reception class and PAWS.”
“Seeing how excited my child was showing me all the things they have to play with.”

The children in Year 5 have started their Bikeability training this week. They are super excited and superb ambassadors for our school in the local area.
