Autumn 1

The children have had a fantastic start to year 1 and should be proud of everything they have achieved.

English - we have been working hard to remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.

Maths - we have started to add number together to find a total and really enjoyed using part-whole models.

Phonics - we have learned new sounds including ay, ou, ea and oy.

History - we have learnt about toys from the past and compared them to the toys we play with today.

RE - we have learnt about and recalled some creation stories from different world views.

Computing - we have been looking at the keyboard on a laptop and trying to find what we need to log in.

Science - we have loved learning about all the senses and looking at the seasonal changes in Autumn.

PSHE - we have been learning about different feelings and how we feel affects how we learn.  We have also learnt about the different zones of regulation.

PE - we have really enjoyed playing different games to remember the routines of using the hall and how we can stay safe.

We hope you have a great half term and come back rested and ready to learn even more!
