Summer Term 

We have been preparing and completing our KS1 SATs this half term - the children have all worked so hard and have truly showed off how much they have learnt - well done Badgers, I couldn't be any prouder! 

In the next 7 weeks we have lots of exciting opportunities coming up including: an author visit, a play (just for Year 2!), the animal man and our seaside afternoon!

Spring Term 

We have learnt lots of fantastic things over the Spring Term! The children in Badgers have been working really hard and I am so proud of them all. 

In English we have studied poems and even learnt all about King Lear! Our cursive handwriting is improving and lots of us are now joining in most of our writing. In maths we have been looking at multiplication and division - please continue to support with this at home. 

In our afternoon lessons we have been learning all about plants and what they need to survive. We have also been looking at how we learnt to fly! 

Autumn Facebook Take Over Day

We have had a lovely day today in Year 2. We started our day continuing our money topic in maths, today we had to calculate amounts of money in both pounds and pence!

In English we have been focusing on our cursive handwriting, today we were focusing on one of our ladder letters - u!

This afternoon we have been rehearsing for our carol concert tomorrow - we hope to see as many of you as possible as we have been working incredibly hard.

We ended our day with Celebration Assembly - keep up the hard work Year 2!
