We actively welcome volunteers at our school as we know they bring with them a range of skills and experience that can enhance the learning opportunities of our children. If you would like to become a volunteer, either for a one off event or on a more regular basis, e.g. hearing children read, please contact the school office, speak to a member of staff. We would be happy to chat to you about the range of opportunities available at our school.
We extend a warm welcome to our volunteers. Without your help, we would not be able to offer our children additional opportunities so we are extremely grateful for your time.
Before starting your volunteering at Peterbrook you must read our Volunteer Handbook and the Appendices. The Volunteer Handbook is the “one stop shop” for most of the information relating to volunteering in our school. Please read the information carefully and make note of its content. If you have any questions please ask to speak to our School Office.
Safeguarding our children is a priority and visitors and volunteers must follow our clear procedures. We also make sure that any volunteer or visitor to school visits the School Office to sign in. Volunteers and visitors are not left unsupervised with any children at any time unless they are regular volunteers who have completed a DBS check and are asked to read KCSIE 2025.
Please ensure you have read Keeping Children Safe in Education.
Our school's local safeguarding information can be found here along with our other policies.
