E-Safety

SAFER INTERNET USAGE

As parents, we all have one extra special role, one that is more important than anything else ..... to keep our children safe in an ever changing world, whilst at the same time giving our children an opportunity to grow as responsible, trusted young adults. It's a difficult balance to try and achieve.

As a school, we see on a daily basis the stunning opportunities that the internet can offer in terms of supporting and advancing all pupils' learning. Our protected school internet service for pupils keeps users safe whilst in school and our partnership work with the NSPCC helps to keep our pupils safe whilst out of school via our homepage link to 'Childline'. As a school, we feel that pupils have a very good understanding of E-safety and their responsibilities online. At our Year 4-6 information evening in September 2016, we showed all attendees a safeguarding video and feel that it is important that the school, its pupils and all parents/carers are all in agreement that the safeguarding of our pupils online is extremely important.
