Working from home

Dear Parents/Carers,

We will be doing our best to help you and your children during the school closures.

We will be uploading tasks and activities through the class dojo website/app. There are many other brilliant, free websites and resources that are available online for you to utilise, so this is just an extra, should you need it. We have attached the Year 5 spelling list below for you to keep up with. The children should also be reading books and practising their times tables on every day.

Please follow the instructions below to log in to the classdojo website/app:

Step 1: Go to

Step 2: Click Sign up

Step 3: Click on student

Step 4: Enter your class code

5H code: EAUWUW        5S code: GZYXAG

You will need to log on today as the code changes every 48 hours. Once you log in, you will not need to log in again as long as you don’t log out.

We will update the new codes on here regularly, should you accidentally log out.

We will be setting a variety of tasks and activities for your children to attempt throughout the closure. Your children could upload their work through written answers or pictures of the work that they have completed.

We have also given you a few packs of activities for the children to complete over the next few weeks. All the work are shown in the links below too. If you could upload pictures of any work that has been completed to dojo, that would be fantastic.

Depending on how long the school is closed, we will continue to add extra tasks and challenges to the website and dojo pages. Try your best to spread the tasks out, so that your children are doing a mixture of activies each day and throughout the week.

But most of all, take care of yourselves and we will see you all soon :)

Mr Hughes & Miss Stock

We just wanted to signpost you to some additional maths resources which are very easy to use and are from the same scheme which we follow in school (White Rose).

Just use the following link:-

Just follow these four easy steps…

  1. Click on the set of lessons for your child’s year group.
  2. Watch the video (either on your own or with your child).
  3. Find a calm space where your child can work for about 20-30 minutes.
  4. Use the video guidance to support your child as they work through a lesson.

In addition to this you might have already discovered the maths factor created by Carol Vorderman which is currently offering free subscription during this difficult time. The link is as follows:-

Please stay safe and look after each other.
