L/O: Fractions S/C: Improper fractions to Mixed number fractions

In this step, children convert from improper fractions to mixed numbers for the first time. An improper fraction is a fraction where the numerator is larger than the denominator. A mixed number is a whole number alongside a fraction. It is important for children to see this process represented visually to allow them to make the connections between the concept and what happens in the abstract.
