Our Child & Family Support Worker family trip to see 'Cinderella'!

Family Fun with
'Cinderella'

It’s that wonderful and magical time of the year again when 26 families, Debbie Shaw and Mrs Thorne board a bus and ascend on to a theatre to watch a pantomime.  This year was no exception in a show which included actress Anne Charleston, who you may have seen appearing in Emmerdale and Neighbours.

From start to finish, the show was jam packed with singing, dancing and the usual pantomime phrases “He’s behind you!”, “Oh no it isn’t!” and “Oh yes it is!”
The cast had us all dancing and singing to some of the huge hits from 2014, including ‘Shake It Off’, ‘It’s All About The Bass’ and the John Legend hit ‘All Of Me’ and not forgetting a song from Frozen (thankfully not ‘Let it go’)

There were also the usual array of ‘adult humour jokes’ which went over the children’s heads whilst the adults were laughing out loud and chuckling to themselves.
Of course there were a lot of laughs from the two ugly sisters, Marj and Flora; Marj took quite a shine to our very own Dave Crathorne, who even had “Hello Dave!” on the back of her big pants.

Everyone who came to the pantomime had a very good time indeed, all together now “Oh no they didn’t”, OH YES WE DID!!

Below are some comments about the pantomime from children and parents alike:
“I thought it was really good and Dave and Marge should meet up again.”
“The whole trip was enjoyable, enjoyed all the dressing up outfits the most.”
“The panto trip was brilliant. Great seats, fab show and lovely to spend some quality time with the kids.”
