  • 30 minutes exercise - This can be with Joe Wicks at 9am, completing Peterbrook Sport activity challenges or any other form of daily exercise that you are able to complete.
  • Maths - Do lesson 2 (Undestanding thousandths) https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-5/ - click the drop down menu Summer Term – Week 7 (w/c 8th June), watch the video tutorial and then complete the activity worksheet below and go through the answers together.
  • Break
  • Times Tables - log in to https://ttrockstars.com/ and practise for 20 minutes.
  • English - Write a book review of a book that you have recently read. Include all the good parts and why someone else should read the book. Remember to give it a rating out of 5 stars and why. 
  • Lunch
  • Creative task - Design/Build a money box - Draw a plan of your money box before you begin. • What materials will you need? • What do you think the most difficult part will be? • What is the first task that you need to carry out? • Did you stick to your original plan? • What tweaks or changes did you need to make? • What improvements would you make next time?
  • Free choice reading for 20 minutes
  • Free time :)

  • Break

  • Spelling, Punctuation & Grammar (SPAG) Antonyms - log in to classroom secrets and complete https://kids.classroomsecrets.co.uk/resource/year-5-antonym-matching-activity-3/
  • English - Write a poem about anything that you would like. Can you make it rhyme? Does your poem have a meaning? Can you use similes, alliteration and personification in your poem? :)
  • Geography - Research Ancient Sumer. Can you create a fact page about it? Where is it? Is it still there today? What happened in those times? Can you draw pictures and fact boxes to help you tell me all about it?
  • Free choice reading for 20 minutes.
  • Free time :)
