Sea Life Visit
We enjoyed our trip to 'Sea Life' this week, which links with our 'Holidays' topic in school. We saw lots of creatures very close up, including sharks, rays and a green sea turtle. The 4-D cinema experience added to the excitement of the day as we enjoyed the film using all of our senses! As always, the children were a credit to the school and we all had a fantastic time.
Monday 9th November - Children in need - Pyjamas and fancy dress fun!
This year we have decided to celebrate children in need in a slightly different way. Each year group were allowed to choose how they wanted to raise money for this very worthy cause. In Year Two we decided to wear our pyjamas or fancy dress and bring in donations of cakes and biscuits to buy and sell. Here are a few photos of us enjoying our special day!
Thursday, 5th November.
Today, Year 2 completed a range of activities to introduce our new topic, 'Super Humans'. We talked about people who keep us healthy, as well as the things we can do to keep ourselves healthy. Here are a few photographs of us completeing these activities. They include work about the dentist; a visit to the doctor's; labelling and reading about the body; using our sense of touch and sorting healthy and unhealthy foods.
Monday 5th October
On Monday the whole school undertook a sponsored event to raise money for Sports for schools. We were visited by a famous paralympic swimmer and triathlete David Hill.
Take a look at us in action!
