Parent Council
Welcome to the Parent Council! Set up during the Spring of 2009 the Parent Council has been formed so that Parents have the opportunity to come together in school to discuss topics and issues parents feel are important to their children’s education.
The Parent Council, open to all parents, represents parents who have children from all Key Stages, and is the formal parental voice that is crucial in contributing to and shaping our School Improvement Plan. It is also an opportunity for parents to bring our attention to those matters which they feel are important in helping them to support their children in school.
On a wider note it provides access to guidance and support for sections of our wider school community, hosting meetings and events. Ideas from parents that the Parent Council will arrange in a practical way will be events that support:
- Curriculum Information from Foundation to Year 6
- Family Learning Activities
- Raising Successful Children
- Specific Parent Support Groups
- The use of our ICT Suite
The future agendas are in your hands – what you as parents want, we will do our very best to help with!
