Nursery Newsletter – 8th January 2016

Dear Parents/Carers,

Happy New Year!! We hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas break and we would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for your generosity and kind wishes. We were genuinely overwhelmed with the wonderful gifts we received.

Thank you.

The children have returned to school very happy and content. Please feel free to make contact with us at the door upon arrival or make a note in your communication book, any day.

A few notices …

Homework – we are focusing on learning new nursery rhymes this term (we are working towards achieving the Nursery Rhyme Challenge – to know eight rhymes by rote). We will therefore hand out, every Friday, a new nursery rhyme to learn and colour the sheet for you to keep.

Book bags – now only required to come into school on Wednesday (returning library books) and will be given out on Friday with new library books, school letters and homework.

PE – The children’s session is every Thursday and they will only require pumps at this time. Please ensure your child has a named pair in their pump bag. In the interest of safety, earrings to be covered or removed on Thursday. Also to aid independence, we would request no tights on PE days.

Our learning theme this fortnight is BEARS!!

Many thanks for your continued support,

Mrs M&M, Mrs Heyes,

Mrs Slater, Mrs Fox and Mrs Doidge.
