This half term we have had a big focus in Maths of the Place Value of numbers.
This has helped us with our written multiplication, addition and subtraction work. We have also worked hard with rounding and ordering of large numbers.
We had a week of telling the time, so please keep on practising at home!
Maths is a subject where answers are either right or wrong, so we have been working hard on our reasoning skills, so that the children can explain how and why they have come up with their answers. This enables them to show a more secure understanding of the skills that have been taught.
Here is an amazing worksheet generator to practise your times tables.
You can change the times tables that you want to learn by following the instructions at the top of the sheet. Unfortunately you can't answer the questions on the computer, but as long as you have a pencil and a piece of paper, this is a fantastic resource! It even uses inverse operations, so that you really work hard to reinforce your times tables with both multiplication and division!
If you highlight the questions by clicking and dragging the mouse, it will reveal the answers. You can also switch between multiplication and division by clicking on the tabs at the bottom of the page!
