The focus this week was ‘Being at School’ We have been talking about sharing our resources and taking turns when playing. We have been encouraging the children to work together at tidy up time. It would be really helpful if you could give your child a special job to do at home. Ask them to put their school things in a special place, encouraging them to take responsibility for their things and helping them to learn to look after them. At school, we expect them them to put their coats on their pegs, store their things in a named tray and put their book bags in a special box each day. Simple routines like this help them to take care of their things.

Week 2

The focus this week was ‘How Am I Feeling Today?’ Each week we will have a goal which we will share with you. We would really appreciate it if you could reinforce this at home. We have been encouraging the children to smile at each other.

When the 'Mad Professor' came into our class she talked about our 'invisible' buckets. We can fill other people's buckets by being kind and helpful. When we are unkind  or make the wrong choices it empties the other person's bucket, we become a  'Bucket Dipper' not a 'Filler'.
