We have been learning about Inventions that have changed the world! In this lesson, we learnt about the importance of wings to flight and then we experimented with different shaped wings to see which would be best for flying.
Here are a few photos to show how much fun we had:
'The Uniqueness of Me' & 'The Similarities of Us'
We had a great couple of days with Teswal, Ty and Martin; who came in to talk to us about how we are all unique in our own way but how we are actually all similar too.
We learnt a lot through their workshop and even got the chance to create a fantastic wall of Graffiti Art, which shows off what we learnt over our time spent with them.
Have a look at the pictures below to see how we got on:
(Remember, we had permission for this - It is only to be done by professionals who have permission from the owner of the building)
On Thursday 17th March, we worked our socks off to raise money for Sport Relief 2016. We ran a mile, completed Sport relief activities and played lots of tiring games. We did all of these things to raise money for other children who are less fortunate than ourselves. Here are some photos to show you all how we got on:
We have had a great afternoon in the sunshine, working together as a musical group to perform pieces of music. We performed 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' and our Brass Blast musical piece, 'Old Mac's Jazz'.
Here are some videos of our amazing performances this afternoon. (We even had to play them from memory too - WOW!)
Book Day 2016
Today we have celebrated World Book Day 2016! We all dressed up as our favourite Book characters and brought in our favourite books to share!
We also had chance to share our books and other fun book day activities with the children from 6R. We watched Michael Rosen and David Walliams reading out stories, as well as doing lots of reading ourselves!
Here are some photos and a video to show you what we got up to:

Children In Need
We had a great day of fun and games to raise money for a great cause!
As a class, we dressed as silly as possible, brought in toys, had a dance off, had a speed stacking cup competition, a paper aeroplane competition and a bean bag throwing activity. All of the activities were chosen and organised by the children and it was a fantastic day!
We all enjoyed it and we managed to raise an amazing £64.35 for charity. What a great achievement!
