Autumn term

Nursery Newsletter – 16th November 2018

 

Welcome back!!! Hope you had a great half term break!! It was lovely to see what you had been up to over the half term holiday in your homework. Our topic this term is Celebration and Festivals. The children have enjoyed learning about Bonfire Night and Diwali, we hope you like their own made Diva Lamps. The Indian Restaurant role play has gone down a storm!!! With lots of children taking on the role of a customer / waiter / chef.

 

We have been learning about Autumn this week and the children have made hedgehog collage, printing autumn leaves on trees with the yellow, red and orange paint and they really loved to share the activities with you at the Fine Motor Workshop.

Green Day – Friday 30th November – everyone to wear GREEN!!

PTFA Christmas Fayre – Friday 7th December at 6pm

Christmas Nativity

Foxes – Tuesday 11th December at 2pm

Rabbits – Wednesday 12th December at 9:45am

THREE CLASS Activity Bags – We have started to send them home every week on a Monday. Everyone will have the opportunity to take each bag throughout the year. We hope you enjoy sharing the activities with your children.

 

Thank you to everyone who has donated for the Bring and buy sale, Children in Need raffle tickets and took part in Odd Socks Day.

Nursery Newsletter – 12th October 2018

Our learning theme this term is Marvellous Me!! We have been learning about our senses. This week we have thought about sight and smell. The children have loved playing in our Optician’s Role Play and exploring smelly foods.

Homework – the children now have a folder in their book bags with homework inside – please encourage the children to complete the activities weekly.

Library book – the children have selected a book from our book corner, please share the story at home and record on the reading record card.

Homework and Library book will be changed every Wednesday.

Supporting children at home – singing number rhymes, recognising numbers 0-5, counting to 10 verbally, recognising their name and supporting children to put their coats on independently.

Important Information and reminders:

Parents Evening – 16th and 17th October – 3:30pm – 5pm

Look out for your reminder slips to confirm the appointments you made – please let us know if you can’t make it.

Halloween Disco – 25th October – tickets available from the office

Parents to attend the disco (with your child)

Nursery Newsletter – 28th September 2018

We have had some fabulous fun together already, settling into Nursery life. We have played inside and out. We have been learning how to play with the toys in our Nursery. We have made some lovely new friends.

 

Important Information and reminders:

 

Nursery and Reception Open Day – 6th October 2018 – 10am until 12 noon

This is an opportunity for new parents to look around our setting and sample some of the lovely activities we provide your children.

 

Parents Evening – 16th and 17th October – 3:30pm – 5pm

Look out for the sign up sheets we will put outside Nursery closer to the time for your time slot.

 

Half term – 29th October – 4th November

The children return to school on Monday 5th November 2018.

 

Peterbrook Bonfire Night – 9th November 6pm start

This is a lovely evening for all the family to enjoy!!

 

 Fine Motor Workshop – 13th November

Morning Nursery (Rabbits) – 10:15am – 11:45am

Afternoon Nursery (Foxes) – 2pm – 3:30pm

 

Pumps – please bring into school (if not already done so)
