Our topic this half term is the Earth our home. We have looked at habitats and we talked about living things in our own environment. This afternoon we went on a walk around the school grounds looking for examples of living things. We managed to find lots of interesting things such as daisies, bluebells, birds, beetles and spiders. Take a look at what we found!

The circus is coming to town!
We have been learning all about the circus. We have discovered some interesting facts about the history of the circus as well as investigating what sort of material would be best for making a big top. Here we are hard at work closely examining some different materials!
Tuesday 6th October
We have started some work on measurment in our maths work. Today we investigated a statement ' taller people have bigger hands'. We used non standard units of measurement - unifix blocks, Dienes equipment and string. At the end of the investigation we realised that this was not a fair investigation and now understand why we need to have standard units of measurements so we re-measured our hand spans using cm rulers and measured in the same way.
Tuesday 22nd September
