2H have been working extra hard over the past few weeks so Mrs Hashdi and Mrs Djearaman decided they deserved a delicious treat! Here they are enjoying their ice lollies!!Yum yum!!
Our topic this half term is the Earth our home. We have looked at habitats and we talked about living things in our own environment. This afternoon we went on a walk around the school grounds looking for examples of living things. We managed to find lots of interesting things such as daisies, bluebells, birds, beetles and spiders. Take a look at what we found!
This week in our RE work we made Garlands. Take a look at our lovely work!
Friday 11th March - scootability!
We had great fun this afternoon learning how to ride our scooters more safely. Take a look at us in action!
Thursday 3rd March -World book day!
The classroom was full of princesses, witches, wizards and a whole host more! We loved dressing up as our favourite characters. We especially loved sharing our books with class 4P. Take a look at us in our costumes!
Monday 29th February
As part of our poetry unit, we got in to small groups and recited the poem 'Mice' by Rose Fyleman. Here are some picture of us reciting our poem and acting it out!
The circus is coming to town!
We have been learning all about the circus. We have discovered some interesting facts about the history of the circus as well as investigating what sort of material would be best for making a big top. Here we are hard at work closely examining some different materials!
Tuesday 6th October
We have started some work on measurment in our maths work. Today we investigated a statement ' taller people have bigger hands'. We used non standard units of measurement - unifix blocks, Dienes equipment and string. At the end of the investigation we realised that this was not a fair investigation and now understand why we need to have standard units of measurements so we re-measured our hand spans using cm rulers and measured in the same way.
Tuesday 22nd September
We are having great fun making models for Bob to sell on the moon!! Here we are hard at work...we will show you our finished designs when they are finished!
Monday 7th September - Friday 11th September
We have had a busy week settling in to our new class and our new routines! We have been busy in maths learning about place value and simple addition and subtraction and we are enjoying our first unit in English based around the Bob the man on the moon! We also had great fun trying to guess each others famous person we had chosen and learning how to play some of the phonic games.
